Exploring the Trim Levels of the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning: Electrifying Performance

Electric vehicle meets wild adventure with the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning. From four-wheel drive to the potential to tow, this Ford truck is fit for rugged territory and long drives without skimping on the aesthetics.

XLT

The XLT trim of the new Ford F-150 Lightning offers a four-wheel drivetrain, the ability to tow up to 5,000 pounds, and a 452-horsepower dual electric motor for a drive that’s stable, capable, and powerful. For the driver’s safety and convenience, it also offers a 360-view camera, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, under-seat storage, a front trunk for extra storage, turn signal-integrated side mirrors, trailer reverse assist, and push-button start ignition.

Comfort isn’t overlooked in this trim. The XLT also features heated front seats, dual-zone automatic temperature control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and power-adjustable pedals.


Flash

Upgrading to the Flash trim will get you larger wheels, higher-quality all-season tires, and a longer battery life, ideal for family trips and long drives. Horsepower also improves to 536. New technology is also a part of this trim, including intersection assist, intelligent adaptive cruise control, a forward sensing system, and an HD radio with an improved sound system.

The Flash trim additionally adds more comfort for both drivers and passengers than its XLT counterpart. It achieves this with its now-heated steering wheel, 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, and multi-adjustable power passenger seat with lumbar support.


Lariat

The Lariat trim swaps out its standard black grille for a sleek gray grille with an intricate geometric design, and its black side mirrors for body-colored ones for a more expensive look. It also gains extra horsepower, a power tailgate with rear lighting, a tailgate step, an auto-dimming side mirror on the driver’s side, and power-folding side mirrors with memory.

Selecting the Lariat trim level will also provide you with extra security features for peace of mind, a convenient keyless entry pad on the driver’s door, rain-sensing wipers, heating and ventilation in the front seats, and a twin-panel moonroof.


Platinum

The Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum model is ideal for those desiring a luxury look and feel. The Platinum differentiates itself from other trims with its dark gray gloss grille, 22-inch wheels, bronze interior accents, premium-carpeted floor mats, premium leather front bucket seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

It also further impresses with standard additions like its trailer brake controller, an improved sound system, and a rear E-locking axle. Ford also upgrades Platinum owners to their Max Trailer Tow Package, which offers an improved towing capacity.
